Dr. J. Ilan kumaran has done Doctorate in Cardiology at prestigious Institute of cardiac Research and treatment, Railway Hospital PERAMPUR, CHENNAI. He has done more than 3000 cardiac procedures including multi vessel PCI, Primary Angioplasty, permanent pacemaker, EPS, Right heart Catheterisation, Catheter directed pulmonary embolectomy, catheter directed thrombolysis and structural Interventions like ASD. Here at Sri Kamatchi medical centre, he has completed 600 primary Angioplasties with in a period of 15 months with least complications. He has special Interest in catheter directed embolectomy for pulmonary embolism, heart failure and right heart catheterisations. His field of Interest – Complex coronary Interventions like CTO, Bifurcation Stenting, Interventions for Stent thrombosis, Right heart catheterisation, CDE, CD thrombolysis, permanent pacemaker implantation and ICD. He has done 5 cases of leadless pacemakers and has vast institutional experience in intravascular coronary imaging like IVUS/OCT. He has done 21 cases of intravascular lithotripsy and 23 cases of Rota ablation for extensive calcified vessels. Here at kamatchi hospital, He has done orbital atherectomy for extensively calcified Left main coronary artery with excellent results. He has extensive experience in using DCB/DEB and has treated around 300 cases without stent implantation.
