- Dr G. Karthikeyan is one of the renowned General Physician in Thanjavur, with more than 40 years of experience in General Medicine. The doctor is serving cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art treatment to all patients.
- He finished his MBBS at Madras University and got MBA in Hospital Management. He has also completed Diploma courses in Diabetology, Yoga Therapy and Family Medicine. He successfully finished certificate courses in Diabetology, Diabetic Education, Diabetic Management, Diabetic Retinopathy, and Geriatric care and a Fellowship in Practical Cardiology and Sexual Medicine.
- Dr Karthikeyan has published more than 10 papers in National Publications and attended so many National and International Medical Conferences.
- As part of Lions Club International services, he attends so many national and International Conferences. He received two International Academy awards from Lions Clubs International. One in Detroit, USA in the year 2003 for his “Prevention of Rheumatic Heart Disease among School Children” and another one in Hongkong in 2005 for “Promotion of School Health” among school goings.
- He has got the “BEST CITIZEN OF INDIA” award for appreciation of his 25-year rural service in New Delhi.
- He was in Tamilnadu Government Service for more than 30 years. From 1979 to 2010 he worked in Thiruvarur District without any transfers until his retirement from the same place.
- After his retirement, he worked as a consultant in Diabetology at Meenakshi Hospital, Thanjavur from April 2012 to October 2021. He also served as Consultant and CEO at Dr Sankar’s Ortho Multi Speciality Hospital, Thanjavur for one year. He is been a part of Sri Kamatchi Medical Centre, a biggest Multispecialty Hospital in the Delta Region, since October 2022 as a Senior Consultant in Medical Services.
