- Dr.S.Sushmitha Saran, has completed her MD Community Medicine in esteemed Bharath University, Tamil Nadu and currently working as consultant in Preventive medicine at Sri Kamatchi Medical Centre, Thanjavur.
- She has successfully completed a course in Diabetes Mellitus conducted by Medvarsity and awarded fellowship in Diabetes Mellitus accredited by Royal Liverpool Academy, United Kingdom

- She has the ability to practically apply knowledge and skills in master health check-up to treat common health problems, for the benefit of the community, by applying preventive, curative, promotive, restorative and rehabilitative measures
- She possesses an expertise in a broad range of health care skills, including Epidemiology, management of health care organizations and preventive medicine practice in clinical settings
- She has participated as an External Monitor in the COVID – 19 pandemic response activity organized by WHO – National Public Health Surveillance Project in 2021, Chennai
- She has participated in many seminars and CMEs National & International levels. She has attended various workshops on Modelling of Health Data, Geriatric Emergency Medicine conducted by International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM) and Society for Emergency Medicine India (SEMI) and EPI-INFO. She also attended training in Centre Leprosy Teaching and Research Institute (CLTRI), Chengalpattu
- She has published many articles in Scopus indexed journals and at present working as a Co – Principal Investigator in an ICMR funded project titled “Development and Validation of a game-based activity and the evaluation of its efficacy for behaviour modification among depressed patients”
